What others are saying
"Season Johnson, we are forever thankful God put us in your path.
Through the Thrive Through Cancer program and this beautiful community, we've learned so much about nutrition, God's natural design for healing, and how to support Natalia's body during treatment. She is now 5 years old and thriving through cancer treatment—not just surviving it.
I know He is good. I know He is faithful. I know He is near. His word has carried me through and will continue to do so."
Lizbeth, mom to Natalia
"Our daughter Natalia was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at 3.5 years old. In those first overwhelming weeks, my mind was all over the place—but somehow God led me straight to Season's page. I don't even remember how I found her, but I know it was divine appointment. A friend later told me, 'You found everything so quickly—it took me years to learn what you implemented in months.' That's when I realized: it wasn't me, it was God guiding me through the darkness.

"What Season has done for pediatric cancer families is extraordinary. Most people would walk away from the word "cancer" once their child's treatment ends—I know I've felt that way. It would be easy to never look back. But Season chose differently. She took Kicker's journey and went back into the world of cancer to fight for families like ours. The endless hours she pours into sharing her knowledge, the way she shows up on calls, the way she inspires us to use our trials for good—it's changed everything for us.
Our son is thriving through treatment—not just surviving it. And it's not just our story. Over the past two years, I've watched children thrive and families find hope they didn't think was possible. The friendships, the breakthroughs, the community—it's made a lasting impact on me and my family."
Kelsey, mom to Nolan
"Two years ago when our son was diagnosed with B-cell ALL, I wasn't sure where to turn. Someone shared an article Season had written, and it gave me hope. When I joined the Thrive Through Cancer program, I didn't know what to expect—but I was immediately welcomed with warmth, love, understanding, and the kind of support that only people who've lived this can give.

"But the support and wisdom we've received from the Thrive team has been the biggest piece of her healing puzzle. They filled the gaps traditional medicine couldn't address.
As a parent, I finally feel empowered. I'm not just watching treatment happen to my daughter—I'm actively giving her body the tools it needs to create a terrain where cancer has no ground to stand on. That shift from helpless to empowered has changed everything for our family.
Elliana isn't just surviving—she's thriving. And it's because we found a community that cares deeply, shows up consistently, and truly understands what we're walking through. The Thrive family is an answered prayer."
Robyn, Elliana's mom
"Five years ago, our daughter Elliana was born at just 24 weeks gestation. Then, just before her second birthday, she was diagnosed with stage 4 hepatoblastoma.
We've had incredible doctors over the past five years—people who saved Elliana's life. But the support and wisdom we've received from the Thrive team has been the biggest piece of her healing puzzle. They filled the gaps traditional medicine couldn't address.

We work with children in both active treatment and remission. In fact, supporting children during treatment is one of our greatest passions. Our Elite Care package was specifically designed for families navigating active cancer treatment — because that's often when nutritional and terrain support matters most. We work closely alongside your oncology team, never in place of them.
We work with families all over the country — and world — virtually through our secure client portal, Practice Better. While we're based in beautiful Solana Beach, CA, geography has never been a barrier to getting the support your family needs. All consultations, follow-ups, and communications happen seamlessly online.
Absolutely — we never want to duplicate what's already been done. We review any existing labs, imaging, or test results your family has on hand and build from there. When additional functional testing is helpful, we may recommend tools like GI-MAP stool analysis, comprehensive blood chemistry, toxin panels, nutrigenomics (3x4), DUTCH hormone panels, or organic acids testing (OAT) — depending on your child's unique situation. Everything is chosen with purpose, not protocol.
No two children — or cancers — are the same, and we treat them that way. We begin with a thorough intake process, review all available health history and labs, and listen deeply to what your family has already experienced. From there, we build a fully customized nutrition and terrain protocol that accounts for your child's diagnosis, treatment plan, sensitivities, lifestyle, and goals. We're not handing you a generic supplement list — we're building a roadmap designed specifically for your child.
Yes — and this is something we feel strongly about. We are integrative, not alternative. Our work is designed to complement and support your child's conventional oncology care, not replace it. We believe the most powerful outcomes happen when functional nutrition and conventional medicine work together. We communicate respectfully with your medical team and stay in our lane while filling in the gaps that conventional care often doesn't have time to address.
Honestly? It starts with lived experience. My own son was diagnosed with cancer, and our family walked through 3½ years of a COG treatment protocol. I know what it feels like to sit in that oncology office, to navigate the overwhelming decisions, to want to do everything you can for your child while the medical system moves at its own pace. That experience didn't just shape my heart for this work — it lit the fire that launched it.
From there, I went deep. I'm a certified Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) and a trained Integrative Health Practitioner at Level 2 (IHP), with over 10 years of experience working specifically in functional cancer support. I've worked alongside naturopathic oncologists, reviewed hundreds of labs through a functional lens, and built personalized terrain-based protocols for pediatric and adult cancer clients across every stage — active treatment, remission, and everything in between.
My credentials gave me the framework. My son gave me the mission. And a decade of walking alongside families just like yours gave me the experience to know what actually moves the needle.
This is not a general wellness practice that occasionally sees cancer clients. This is the only thing we do — and we do it with everything we have.
