I know the fear and helplessness you're feeling—but I'm here to show you there's so much more you can do to help your child thrive. From one cancer parent to another: I'm here to show you your child can do more than just survive treatment.
I'm Season Johnson
When Kicker started cancer treatment, I began searching for every natural tool I could find to support his body alongside the conventional protocol.

The nebulizer became one of our most trusted tools.
Children receiving chemotherapy face a heightened risk of opportunistic bacteria developing in the lungs. This concern is one of the primary reasons oncologists prescribe prophylactic antibiotics during treatment. We chose to take a proactive, natural approach alongside our conventional care. The results were remarkable.
Since then, our family reaches for the nebulizer anytime someone gets sick, develops a cough, or needs extra respiratory support. Because so many families in our community ask about it, I want to share everything you need to know about how to use a nebulizer for immune support safely and effectively.
A nebulizer converts a liquid substance into fine droplets. It creates a mist that travels through a mask or mouthpiece directly into the mouth, nose, and lungs. This delivery method makes it one of the most targeted and effective ways to support respiratory health and assist the body’s natural detox processes.
Your lungs are one of your primary detox organs. They also play a central role in oxygen levels and immune defense. Nebulizing delivers support directly to the respiratory terrain, right where the body needs it most. For children in cancer treatment whose lungs are under extra stress, this matters deeply.
We keep things simple in our home. These are the three substances we use and trust.
Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl)
Recommended brand: BrioTech 0.02%
Hypochlorous acid is a compound our own immune system produces naturally to defend against microbes. Because the body already recognizes and produces it, HOCl is extremely gentle, non-toxic, and well tolerated even by young children and those with compromised immune systems. It maintains a healthy pH on mucosal surfaces, supports the body’s ability to break down congestion, and reduces inflammatory burden in the respiratory tract.
HOCl interacts with pathogens on contact, disrupting their structure and reducing the chance for microbes to linger or multiply. This makes it especially valuable during cancer treatment when the immune system needs every advantage it can get.
For acute respiratory symptoms, nebulize 4cc of HOCl for 30 minutes up to twice per day. For ongoing preventative airway support, use it one to five times per week. It has an excellent safety profile and causes no known irritation at the 0.02% concentration.
Quinton Isotonic Minerals
Recommended brand: Quinton Isotonic
Quinton minerals come directly from protected plankton beds deep in the ocean. They contain a rich and bioavailable supply of minerals and trace elements that closely mirror the composition of human blood plasma. In fact, during both World Wars, medical teams used Quinton minerals as a replacement for blood plasma in emergency situations. That history speaks to how deeply compatible these minerals are with the human body.
For children in cancer treatment, mineral depletion is a serious concern. Chemotherapy taxes the body’s mineral reserves significantly. Quinton isotonic minerals help replenish those reserves and bring the body into a parasympathetic state, which is the calm, rest-and-repair state essential for healing.
For nebulizing, use one vial of Quinton Isotonic once per day for 10 to 15 minutes during acute respiratory illness or when extra immune support is needed. For daily mineral support outside of acute illness, take one vial internally on an empty stomach each morning. This is actually our preferred daily use method for ongoing terrain support.
Saline Solution
Recommended brand: Modudose Saline Solution
Saline is the base of any nebulizing protocol. It keeps the airways moist, supports mucociliary clearance, and makes it easier for the lungs to move out debris and pathogens. Always use a clean, preservative-free saline solution to avoid introducing unnecessary chemicals into the respiratory tract.
To make your own at home, mix 8 ounces of distilled water with half a teaspoon of Redmond’s Real Salt or Celtic Sea Salt. Stir until fully dissolved. Store in a clean glass jar in the refrigerator and use within 24 hours for best results.

All three of these substances have strong safety profiles, particularly at the concentrations and frequencies described above. However, I always encourage families to share any new protocol with their oncology team. Most integrative tools like these work alongside conventional treatment without interference. Transparency with your medical team protects your child and builds trust in the collaborative care model we believe in at Biodynamic Wellness.
If your child has a specific lung condition or sensitivity, start with plain saline only and introduce other substances gradually while monitoring their response.
Proper cleaning after every session is non-negotiable. Moisture left in the machine or components creates conditions for mold to grow, which completely defeats the purpose.
After each session, rinse the solution cup with warm water and set it in a clean area to dry fully. Place the mask or mouthpiece in a stainless steel or glass bowl with warm water and one tablespoon of a clean concentrate like OnGuard, Abode, Better Life, or Dr. Bronner’s. A solution of one part white vinegar to three parts water works equally well. Soak for 20 to 30 minutes, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry completely before storing.
The tubing does not need washing. Set it out to dry as fully as possible. Store all pieces in a clean cabinet away from high-traffic areas, and make sure everything is completely dry before putting it away.

Hi Season.
I started following you when my hubby was diagnosed with Stage 3 Lung Cancer in Aug 2018. Three years later, and he is cancer free. We used doTERRA oils all thru his treatments, and we continue to use them every day. All glory to God for healing my husband, for creating the plants and oils for us to use, and for people like you who share your wisdom. <3
Thank you for this info on nebulizers. Great stuff!
The link you provided for the nebulizer came up as "Page Not found".
Can you provide some tips and info on what to look for when purchasing a nebulizer. Amazon has over 4000 options when you type in "nebulizer". I have no idea what to look for.
Thank you.
Blessing to you.
I’m so happy to hear that your husband is cancer free!! Glory!! 🙂 As far as the link, check it…it was resolved yesterday, so you should be good to go. Thanks!
Is there a better option for the saline solution? The one you have listed doesn’t come up anymore. A whole bunch on Amazon but don’t know which one is best.
Hi Chery,
all nebulizer are here to choose :www.nubelax.com
I have found that link to not work either. 🙁
Thanks for letting us know. It should be fixed now.
Hello season.
My son is 6 years old and I wanted to start incorporating the silver nebulizing…is the 4cc for children as well ? Thank you for your help God bless
I think I mention it in the video, but for children you want to half it. Thanks!
Hi there,
Is it ok to use essential oils in the nebulizer?
I’ve never used them in the nebulizer and wouldn’t recommend it.
Hi Season- what is the youngest age you’d say is “safe” to use the nebulizer?
Hi Whitney, I would encourage you to ask your doctor. I think it would depends on the child and their health. Thanks!
Thank you for this, just created an account & purchase few items 😀.
Yay…you’re so welcome!
Hi Season, I would love to do one of these solutions for my daughter when she starts to have an asthma attack. Do you know if any of these will work?
Hi Erin – I would suggest the saline solution and using Breathe Essential Oil on her chest.
If you are using the Modudose saline vials, how much 3% peroxide would you add to make a solution for nebulizing?
Are the mixture amounts for a certain size or type of nebulizer? We have a small handheld one and I just want to make sure these amounts are correct for our type.
Hi there – The amounts are for adults. Hope that clarifies things. Thanks!
Hi, I think this page is amazing and want to thank you for providing this fantastic information for people. I was wondering whether you know of a NAD+ recipe or where I could buy a solution for nebuliser?
So glad that you find it all so helpful! And it would be best to work with a practitioner to get a recipe that would be specific to your bioindividual needs!
Hi, thank you for all of this good information. The link for the article about the safety of nebulizing hydrogen peroxide is broken. It had the recipe for hypertonic saline solution. Do you have another link you can recommend? Thanks!
I found it was broken as well.
Links do not work
